"Villa Manin di Passariano is a Venetian villa located in Passariano di Codroipo (province of Udine), a monumental architectural complex built in the sixteenth century at the behest of the Friulian nobleman Antonio Manin who, after losing his dominion of the seas, concentrated on the resources offered by the mainland, a farm and placing a manor house in the center.Home of the last doge of Venice, Ludovico Manin, Napoleon Bonaparte lived there for about two months in 1797 with Giuseppina Beauharnais. Here many talks were conducted for the stipulation of the treaty between France and Austria known as the Treaty of Campoformio (October 17, 1797).The villa, restored since the 1960s, was the site of a contemporary art center from 2004 to 2008 and hosts international exhibitions.
