The Schläferskopf is a 454.2 m high "mountain" in the Taunus. It is located near Klarenthal in the region of the Hessian state capital Wiesbaden.
The mountain name refers to the dormice living there. On the mountain stand the observation tower Kaiser Wilhelm Tower and the Waldrestaurant Schläferskopf Gold. (Http://schlaeferskopf-gold.de/)
In the mountain interior is the Schläferskopfstollen.
Here also starts the first official MTB Downhill track in the area:

The sleeper's head is a popular meeting and viewing point. Just around the corner is the entrance to the Gravity Trail, a fairly demanding, approved downhill track. Please do not drive without helmet and protectors.
Have fun and ride save!
