The Catholic parish church of St. Mary Queen in Cologne-Marienburg was built in 1953/54 to plans by Dominikus Böhm and added in 1959/60 by Gottfried Böhm to a belfry. Maria Königin was to become Dominik Böhm's last church building - the church was completed and consecrated a year before his death.

Böhm created a building on a square floor plan with a low tent roof. In the north is followed by a lower prayer room (weekday and confessional chapel), above a gallery. The tower is covered with a high pyramidal roof. The brick-clad reinforced concrete construction is only provided on the south side with a window wall. The design for the colored glazed south wall comes from D. Böhm and H. Bienefeld, depicted is the cloak of the Queen of Heaven surrounded by foliage and tree motifs. The ceiling of the light interior, which looks light through the generous window glazing, is supported by four red iron columns. The walls inside are bright and simply plastered. The altar area is a few steps higher than the ground level and the back wall behind the altar swings slightly.

The round and light-flooded baptistery of reinforced concrete lies deeper than the church space and is connected to it by a glass corridor. On the ground floor of the belfry is the memorial chapel.
