Road Cycling Highlight
The highest peak of the Haardt offers a gigantic view over the entire Rhine plain. Under one extends a sea of grape vines, left and right lined with dry pine forests on the slopes of Haardt. On the top there is a restaurant, from whose terrace you can enjoy this view.

Highest rise in the area. Incline between 6 - 8%, so easy to ride. The last meters of the summit can only be reached by piste, but from 25 mm onwards.
Great view. Refreshments (hearty).
Three nice downhill options: Maikammer curvy, Totenkopf / Breitenstein curvy and long, Edenkoben long and fast!

Zur Kalmit offers the ascent with the most elevation gain from the Rhine Valley in the Palatinate. The view of the Rhine plain is sensational! A forest path leads from the parking lot (which can also be done with a racing bike with caution) to the hut. So absolutely to the top.

- Approach to Kalmit via Maikammer. It is steeper (about 10%) at the beginning (after leaving the village) and only becomes a little flatter at the back.
- Ascent from Maikammer after leaving the village approx. 6 km. If you continue up to Kalmit (bus turning point), another approx. 1 km.
- I think it's better to get there from St. Martin, because it's not that steep. Only in St. Martin you have to do 2 small steep climbs (approx. 100m) with more than 10%, then relatively rhythmically between 4% -7%.
