We approached this from the top end, over the ladder stile and followed the river downstream. There are actually a number of waterfalls, the first visible just after crossing the stile. In places, the route through the woods is not obvious, becoming uneven and slippy, and often in very close proximity to a drop into the river! Forest route rejoins the path just before Yarrow reservoir. Enjoy but take care!
