The witch mayor's house in Lemgo is a former town house that is now used as a museum. The building got its name from the mayor and lawyer Hermann Cothmann, who served as head of the city from 1667 to 1683, lived in this house and gained the reputation of a witch hunter during the witch trials in Lemgo.
