The prehistoric grave cross stones from Sobrigau, near Gaustritz, mark archaeological finds from the 11th century and are the earliest evidence of Christianity in the Dresden area. They consist of man-sized planed sandstone slabs with carved crosses. During excavations in the 1880s, six of these grave slabs were discovered, among which human remains and artifacts such as an iron pruning knife and ceramic vessels were found.
