Schwägalp Pass summit

The highlight is not on the actual Schwägalp, but at the top of the Schwägalpstrasse pass (1300m) towards Toggenburg.That is why the text from "quattro" is not very relevant from this location. Relatively easily accessible, beautiful pass crossing. Cable car to the Säntis, excellent hiking area (Säntis, Ofenloch, etc.), also MTB routes. Large new and older restaurants, overnight accommodation.

There is a cheese dairy on Schwägalp, which is also open on Sundays. Perfect for taking a piece of cheese home, but also for a snack. In addition to various cheeses, there are also milkshakes, yoghurt and in front of the cheese dairy there is seating. The Schwägalp is one of the highest achievable points for motorcyclists and motorists from the Lake Constance region (even if it is only 1290m), correspondingly much traffic is on the access road. Unfortunately, because of the high volume of traffic yesterday, I did not enjoy it much. For low season, the ride is certainly more fun. The ride on the mountain railway on the Säntis is very expensive, who wants to do it should first inform yourself about the prices (up and down 45 CHF / 40 Euro).
