ATTENTION:1. Driving is prohibited between km 1 and km 4.5 and driving through the Fadental is also prohibited (km 16-17). Also at the end of the route from Erlaufsee to Mitterbach (as of 8/9/2021)2. The route leads through Mariazell on a sidewalk - please stay on the road.3. The route leads down to the Erlaufsee via a shared single trail, which in my opinion is a bit too risky, at least at the beginning, where it goes steeply downhill and it is impossible to avoid hikers.Otherwise nice round.

The Ötscher is a 1893 meter high, widely dominant mountain massif in south-western Lower Austria. The Ötscher area is one of the Northern Limestone Alps - especially the Ybbstal Alps - and is one of its easternmost high mountain massifs.
