From the Stöffelhütte hiking towards the northwest, one reaches after about 1 km the long distance trail E 10, which leads as a part of the Klausener hut to Gasteiger saddle and the Rittner Horn to the provincial capital of Bolzano. An approximately 2 km long and very beautiful to walk part of the E 10 runs as Dielenweg across the moorland meadows on the Villanderer Alm. From there you have special views of the moors, lush meadows, pines and the beautiful mountain ranges of the western Dolomites.
Firm, best waterproof footwear is highly recommended for this stretch of road.
