On a short hike to the Hochmaisalm, about halfway from the valley station of the mountain railway to the Hochmaisalm, you have a magnificent view of the Hochkönig massif. The ascent is easy to do and technically not particularly demanding, but it takes a little longer. Up on the Alm you will be rewarded with a great all-round view of the surrounding mountains - highly recommended. But be careful: note the opening times in autumn!
