The Schänzelturm is an 1874 built and 13 m high observation tower on the Steigerkopf near Edenkoben in the Rhineland-Palatinate district of the Southern Wine Route and at the same time the highest tower of the low mountain range Pfälzerwald.

If you look closely at the southern edge of the view, you can even see the Trifels with attached castles! You would actually have to adjust the tree aisle a bit!

From the tower you have a great view of the area. Fans of technical descents should definitely add the Schänzel slope to the Forsthaus Heldenstein afterwards.

Great touring destination. You should definitely include it in your tour. Ski runs also start from here. The break bench with table invites you to take a break.
