The Notte Canal, one of the oldest shipping lanes of the Mark Brandenburg is about 25 km long. It leads through our districts Schenkendorf-Krummensee, Mittenwalde and Telz, into the Lankreis Teltow-Fläming through the city of Zossen and to the neighboring Mellensee. In the northern area, in Königs Wusterhausen there is the connection to the Dahme via the Notte Canal. What many do not know ... the Notte Canal was at the time of the Ziegleiindustrie an important transport route for the construction of the metropolis Berlin. At today's lock in Mittenwalde it flows into the Galluner channel. Nature-loving water sports enthusiasts can drive through the canals to Lake Motzener See. On the Notte Canal you can discover rare and shy water birds such as herons or kingfishers. In summer you can see paddlers on the canal again and again.

A very beautiful path along the Notte Canal.

The Notte is a tributary of the Dahme, meaning the Notte (river) was developed into a canal in 1568.
