At Aries, the A81 bridge spans the valley. For many a natural disgrace! For the people who work in the city center every day have a relief.

The Jagsttal cycle path runs on the former 39 km long narrow-gauge route that led from Möckmühl to Dörzbach. The concession was granted for the line on January 13, 1900 and construction began. As early as March 13, 1901, the line with goods and passenger traffic was fully operational. In 1988 the line was closed due to poor track conditions. An activation that was partially requested by the neighboring communities was not made. So today we have a wonderful bike path!

The valley bridge of the A81 over the Jagsttal is the highest bridge on the Würzburg-Weinsberg section and is located between the Osterburken and Möckmühl junctions. It was built from 1971 to 1974. The total length is 880 m. The superstructure consists of a steel box girder that is 30 m wide at the top. The height above the valley floor or above the water of the Jagst is 80 meters. So stop and be impressed!
