Palm Beach, affectionately called “Palmy” by locals, sits at the end of a long peninsula. The surf awaits you on one side and calm Pittwater on the other. The golden sands and clear waters were certainly one reason the wealthy Sydney/Warrane residents built their holiday homes on the verdant hills. But down on the beach, with sand between your toes and a fresh breeze in your hair, everyone feels comfortable, rich and poor.
