Palm Beach is a beautiful long stretch of sand along the eastern side of the narrow peninsula, with the Pacific Ocean on one side and the sheltered waters of Pittwater and Broken Bay on the other. The golden beach curves north toward Barrenjoey Head, with excellent surf at the northern end and calmer swimming conditions farther south, including a 50-metre ocean rock pool. From the beach, you can walk up to the heritage-listed Barrenjoey Lighthouse for sweeping views over the coastline, Pittwater, and Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park.
