The Klimenshorn is a beautiful summit from the Pilatus. The view of Lake Lucerne is beautiful from up here. When the weather is nice you will never be alone on the summit, but it is much quieter than on top of the Pilatus, so it is nice to visit this peak before the ascent and to share the hiking / mountain feeling with like-minded people Tourism is rising.

I climbed the Klimenshorn from Eigental. The path from Oberlauelen up to the Klimenshorn is quite steep and it is amazing how fast you can gain altitude through the slope. For the way it needs already a little head for heights, he is secured in some places with chains, a staircase it is necessary to climb high and partly to climb rocky passages with big steps, or easy Kraxelei. When it's wet, especially those rocky passages can be slippery. In front of the Klimenshorn by the chapel, there is a beautiful fenced area, which is also used for bivouacs, picnics, as a breather before the final ascent to Mount Pilatus.
