Interesting ruins with a complex graphic structure, the exact purpose of which apparently still remains unclear.
Between 2016 and 2018 the walls were carefully secured and are now in very good condition.
There is a beautiful viewing point with a panoramic board and also a picnic area with a table and benches.

On a rocky plateau above the village of Tegna is one of the most interesting archaeological sites in the Locarnese. Still clearly visible today, the remains of Tegna Castle are important material witnesses that allow us to study our history going back several millennia.
Thanks to its topographical position at the top of a natural barrier at the entrance to the Valle Maggia and with a wide view of the entire surrounding territory, which extends to Lake Maggiore, the castle was a strategic place for all the successive peoples of this region. In a relatively small area, it is therefore possible to stratigraphically trace the different phases of human presence over a particularly long period of time.
