The new chapel near Steiningloh stands in the middle of a fresh orchard above the village and is dedicated to St. Norbert of Xanten. According to its builder, Norbert Graf, the chapel is open to anyone who wants to pray or just want to retire in peace. Unfortunately, the inauguration on October 5 had to take place without initiator Lydia Graf, as this died during the construction of the chapel on 17 August 2019.
The bronze cross inside the wooden construction comes from the workshop of artist Sebastian Strobl of the Academy of Fine Arts (Munich). The glass-walled walls allow you to look from the safe haven into the vast nature of the beautiful area. The discs designed by Gerti Gerhards from Schnaittenbach with motifs of the creation story invite you to meditate. For me one of the most beautiful chapels in the district of AS.
