In the old village smithy Blankenfelde still today furniture, lamps, individual sculptures and much more are produced after traditional blacksmithing.

The village smithy was probably built around 1540 (not documented). This smithy is the oldest building after the church. The village street right at the entrance to the village of Blankenfelde was chosen as the location of the forge.

Every 1st Saturday of the month you have the opportunity to take part in a course (10 a.m. to 5 p.m., € 110) or to attend a trial course (2 p.m. to 5 p.m., € 60). For those interested, the story and further information are posted on a display in front of the forge. At least a short stop is worth it.
