Delfzijl (Groning's Delfziel; obsolete German Delfsiel) is a small town in the province of Groningen in the northeastern Netherlands with 16,890 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2022) and was an independent municipality until the end of 2020.
Since January 1, 2021, it has been part of the newly created municipality of Eemsdelta.
The coastal towns of Delfzijl are located at the mouth of the Ems into the North Sea.
