The history of today's Wäldershausen stud goes back to 1690. This year the so-called tower house was built by the Schenk zu Schweinsberg family. From the 1950s until the Ohmtalbahn's last journey in May 1980, Wäldershausen also had a train stop. After an eventful history, the stud farm is now once again a good address for all horse lovers.

Show jumpers are bred and trained in the Hofgut Wäldershausen. The successful show jumper Lars Nieberg was at home here for a few years. The u.a. Gold medalist with the team in 1996 in Atlanta and 2000 in Sidney and became team world champion in 1998.
