    The area around Lütjensee is known as Stormarnsche Schweiz or Stormarner Schweiz. There are three lakes in the undulating and wooded area, the Lütjensee, the Großensee and the Mönchteich, which is why Lütjensee is also referred to as the "Three Lakes Community".
