The area around Lütjensee is known as Stormarnsche Schweiz or Stormarner Schweiz. There are three lakes in the undulating and wooded terrain, the Lütjensee, the Großensee and the Mönchteich, which is why Lütjensee is also known as the “three-lake community”. The Kranika moorland is protected. Lütjensee was first mentioned in a document in 1248. The noble Hamme family is considered to be the founder of the place. According to a foundation deed of the old Lütjensee church, the layman Tymmo von Hamme wrested the place from Wendish settlers. Today's Lütjensee “Tymmokirche” is named after him.

The Lütjensee is located a little further north of here in a very beautiful landscape - a tour to and around the lake is always worth it.
Or is the town of Lütjensee meant here? But the photos only show the lake.
