The castle of Forna is a fortress located in the municipality of Atzúbia, above the center of Forna (Marina Alta). It is of Arab-Templar style and was built in the 13th century from the remains of the northeast tower. It was later reformed, in the 15th and 16th centuries.
From the castle there is a beautiful view of Forna and the Oliva orchards to the Mediterranean coast. Unfortunately, the quarry that is causing the disappearance of a nearby mountain is also contemplated.translated by•September 10, 2022
