From the Köllner Hütte to the Tschager Joch is to do well with children (8 and 12 years) - even if they have no climbing experience. The ascent to the yoke is well developed, ropes are not necessary, helmet recommended but not mandatory.
If you are lucky you run into a mountain dog, if I remember rightly it was called Takuma. This commutes seemingly between the Cologne hut and the Vajolet hut and crosses the Chague yoke, very sporty :-)
The path is quite demanding on both sides with some easy climbing passages up to the narrow Tschagerjoch (2670m). Once at the top, there is a nice picnic table. The wildness of the mighty Dolomites comes into its own here.
