The village has more storks than volunteer firefighters. No joke. Great village.

From March to September, Bergenhusen is probably the center of the world for many nature lovers and bird lovers 🌍.Up to 19 pairs of storks come here every year and raise their young in the "stork village" of Bergenhusen. In spring the storks occupy their nests to mate and in summer you can already watch the proud parents feeding the offspring 🐣.At the end of the breeding season, a very special and impressive spectacle takes place when the young storks make their first attempts to fly ❤️.PS:
A visit to the stork exhibition at the Michael Otto Institute in NABU is recommended for those who are interested. The opening hours are from March 15th to September 15th daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can find more information at: bergenhusen.NABU.de_________
