The Pehlitzwerder is a peninsula surrounded by the Parsteiner See. There are eight Methuselah trees here, between 350 and 550 years old, which alone are worth a visit. The ruins of the Mariensee monastery are, um, rather unspectacular. Swimming is always possible, surfing or sailing when you talk to the permanent campers. There is a birdwatching tower from which to watch the black tern colony. Small shop to stock up on the essentials, therefore well suited for cyclists.
