Climb the summit and not have a head for heights? No problem. You won't find a summit cross here, but you will find a summit marker. At 118.04 meters, Monte Troodelöh is the highest point in the city of Cologne.

The Königsforst is directly connected to the Wahner Heide. For Cologne a quickly accessible jewel for relaxation. Whether on foot or by bike, many small and large paths and lots of forest. Always beautiful, no matter what time of year.

Within the Wahner Heide east of Cologne, which is largely designated as a nature reserve, there are a good 130km of hiking trails.

Between Hennef and Seligenthal, an imposing suspension bridge leads over the Sieg for pedestrians and cyclists.

When parking at the dam leave no valuables in the car! Half a year ago we were hit by the disc. According to the police, this happens more often.

Around 700 endangered animal and plant species can be found in the Wahner Heide, the second largest nature reserve in North Rhine-Westphalia, which is also a bird sanctuary and flora-fauna habitat area.

Nice route along the Sieg. Part of the green C with really top paved way on the Siegdamm.

Free refreshment in summer and not as crowded as many outdoor pools.

There are also fresh eggs, cheese, sausage and jam. You can pull everything yourself from the machine! With cash or even with a credit card.

A cozy place at the Sieg. A boat does its job there. A (stony) beach invites you to throw stones. In the simple style restaurant / beer garden there is delicious hearty food.

Wonderful corner at the gates of Cologne / Bonn. Particularly easy to drive on with children, especially when it is dry. I can only recommend a detour to the adjoining café in Gut Leidenhausen (ice cream, cake, drinks).
