In the heart of Vorarlberg, a beautiful small mountain region is waiting to be discovered. You can hike through this spectacular area along several kilometers of hiking trails that wind through the landscape. In this Collection, we present ten routes that include high peaks, fantastic views and the Großes Walsertal biosphere park.

Summiteers will particularly enjoy three of the mountain peaks that surround Damüls-Faschina. The Portlahorn offers an easy ascent, whilst at 7,000 feet (2,130 meters), the Glatthorn is one of the highest peaks in the Großes Walsertal biosphere park. Finally, the Zaferhorn summit reveals a spectacular panorama. No matter whether you choose just one mountain or get to know each one, fantastic views over a wonderful mountain landscape are guaranteed.

Damüls-Faschina is also great for family vacations with pram-friendly strolls that include a dip in the cool Seewald Lake. You can enjoy observing butterflies and flowers with your little ones on the way to the Franz Josef Hut where you can tuck into tasty cheese and bacon. These are the kind of adventures that every child (and adult) likes to take home with them.

If you are planning to stay a little while in the region, it is best to look for accommodation in Damüls or Faschina. From these towns, you can easily start your day hikes and get to know the region. We expect it won't take long until this beautiful place in Vorarlberg finds its way to your heart.
