From the parking lot in Fontanella-Faschina, a freight path leads you up to Bartholomäus Alpe. From here you follow the hiking trail "Zafernrundweg". At the Grätle the path leads you further below the Zafernhorn towards Hubertuskapelle. It is not far from here until the path branches off to the right to the top of the Zafernhorn. The detour is well worth it: from the summit at 2,107 meters you have a breathtaking view of the surrounding valleys and mountain ranges. You hike back on the actual path and over the Zafernmaisäß back to Fontanella-Faschina.

For early risers! When the darkness still sweeps across the country and most people look for a night's rest in the soft pillows of their heads, you already experience the unique fascination of a sunrise in the mountains. On the summit of the Zafernhorn (2,107 meters), the light show of the rising sun awaits you. On the way back you can look forward to a well-deserved mountain breakfast on one of the Alps on the way. A day couldn't start better!

With the Uga-Express quad chairlift you can quickly reach the mountain station at 1,830 meters above sea level. Starting from here, a wide hiking trail leads you towards Uga-Alpe at the foot of the Damülser Mittagspitze. From here you continue on a steep alpine hiking trail with various ascent aids to the summit, one of the most beautiful vantage points in Vorarlberg. On clear days, the view extends far to Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. The mountain does not require any special alpine knowledge, but you should pay particular attention to good ankle-high shoes. The descent follows the same route, whereby you can easily reach the starting point of the hike without the chairlift. Have fun!

The tour around the Klippern belongs to the category: panoramic and varied round trip, in which you also have to do without the physical well-being.Start is the Uga mountain station in Damüls, from where you walk over the Ugaalp at the Damüls Mittagsspitze past. It follows a short descent to Wannenalpe, past the ski tunnel to Kahnisalpe. Here you can treat yourself to a deserved rest. As soon as you regain your strength, continue uphill in the direction of the Obere Alp. A few more kilometers towards Ugaalp and faster than you think you are already back at the starting point. Have fun!

This hike is a medium-long and rewarding tour around the Glatthorn in the Vorarlberg Bregenzerwald. From Damüls you walk on well signposted and mostly flat paths and forest roads through the beautiful landscape to Fontanella. On the way there are great places to stop for refreshments and at times a great view of the Große Walsertal and the surrounding mountain landscape.Since this tour is very long, you should place value on good shoes and start early. So nothing stands in the way of a perfect hiking day!

A walk to Seewaldsee is worthwhile in every season and in every weather. It can be reached in about 35 minutes from Fontanella / Saw. The easy walk leads through real, austere Walser landscape. Embedded in meadows lies the small lake. Since the water supply is low, the lake at this altitude (1200 m) shows exceptionally favorable temperatures, which in summer - even on a warm rainy day - tempt to swim. And of course the beautiful surroundings invites you to linger. Conclusion: Perfect walks for the family, with a dog or just with the best friend.

The Portlahorn is an easily accessible viewing mountain in the hiking area of Damüls. Usually it can be climbed early in the year because the summit is hiked over the southern slopes. This approximately ten kilometer round tour starts in Damüls. You collect the first meters of altitude on a leisurely hiking trail towards Sunnegg, where you can bring your muscles up to operating temperature. The path continues over the Seven Hills to the Sünserjoch crossroads with a view of the lake of the same name. The highlight of the hike is the Portlahorn at 2,010 meters above sea level. Unique vision guaranteed! The descent takes place via the scenic plateau Stofel with a stop at Alpe Oberdamüls.

The starting point of this hike is in Damüls at the parish church of St. Nikolaus. From there you hike up towards Herte and then towards the mountain restaurant Sunnegg. The path then leads you over the “Seven Hills” towards the Sünser Joch. This section is also one of the highlights of this tour. The tightrope walk is just wonderful. Be sure to plan a little more time for photos, enjoyment and even more photos!

Starting from the valley station of the Stafelalpbahn in Faschina, you will reach the middle station of the chairlift after a first climb. Then the path follows the flower trail on a crest until you reach the top station of the Glatthornbahn. Shortly after the mountain station you have reached the highest point of the tour. Then you hike downhill, past the Damülser Hornes and on to Alpe Unterdamüls. A forest path leads from the Unterdamülser Alpe to Damüls. Here you have the option of taking the bus to Faschina or taking the route from Kirchdorf via the avalanche gallery to Faschina.
