The Lahn Cycle Path winds its way over 244 kilometres from the source of the Lahn in the Rothaar Mountains to the mouth of the Rhine in Lahnstein. You accompany the river through romantic forests, past green pastures, wide fields, lush meadows and narrow valleys. On the way you will cross unique bridges, through picturesque towns such as Marburg, Wetzlar or Bad Ems and past fairytale castles, palaces, churches and monasteries. Most of the time you cycle directly on the banks of the river, which winds its way through the enchanting nature in countless loops. Thanks to so much beauty and variety, the ADFC has awarded the cycle path three stars.

This collection will show you how to cycle the Lahn Cycle Path in five stages. In an additional kick-off stage, we also present you with a nice way to cycle from Siegen station to the Lahn spring, where the cycle path begins - the source of the Lahn is not directly accessible by public transport. If you prefer to travel directly by train to the Lahn Cycle Route, you can travel as far as Feudingen. The village is located on the cycle path and about ten kilometres from the Lahn spring. If you like, you can start your cycling tour here. Alternatively, you can park your car here at the source.

In all the destinations of the Lahntal cycle path you have various overnight accommodations. There are also numerous guesthouses, campsites and railway stations along the way if you want to shorten individual stages. Cozy restaurants, cafés and beer gardens provide for your physical well-being both in the stage towns and on the way. So you can cycle full of pleasure to Lahnstein, where the cycle path ends. From the nearby stations Niederlahnstein or Oberlahnstein you have the possibility to take the train home. If you feel like cycling even more here at the mouth of the Lahn into the Rhine, you can simply continue your adventure on the Rhine cycle path.
