We got our bikes ready, packed our bags and headed out into the lush, green landscape of the Allgäu - except this time there were three of us, with our youngest in tow. We had the idea for our little adventure months ago when we put Romy, our one-year-old daughter, into the bike trailer for the first time. At the time we were still joking about whether she was ready for her first multi-day trip.

Sometimes spontaneous ideas are the best. So the next time the weather was perfect, we set off without much planning. Sunshine and warm temperatures are almost a prerequisite for a stress-free family trip, and we didn't want to miss this opportunity. How did our first three-day bikepacking trip in the mountains with the little one go? Check out the full story here: komoot.com/en-en/adventure-hub/notes-from-outside/9

  4. And so the third day was already the end of the little journey. That sounds somehow faster than expected. We were almost a little sad that we didn't want to go any further, but on the other hand we didn't want to overdo it on the first try either.
