What better way to get to know Germany at its best than to discover the country's most beautiful hiking trails? Whether you're an outdoor enthusiast or a water lover, these trails will take you up to lofty heights and down into deep gorges, through deep green forests and across glistening natural lakes – #GermanySimplyInspiring.

For your German adventure, in this Collection we've put together our seven favourite hikes through wonderfully scenic natural landscapes. You can #EmbraceGermanNature in Germany's south on trails through the Partnachklamm gorge, in the Black Forest on the Seensteig trail or in Paderbornerland on the Viaduct hiking trail.

There’s something for every type of hiker, from shorter trails to challenging day Tours. The hikes can also be combined with a multi-day adventure through western and southern Germany, if you have more time. For a weekend adventure, you can also reach the Felsenweg 6 in the Eifel region and the Saarschleife Tafeltour from Belgium.

In Germany, you have endless opportunities to immerse yourself in nature and escape from everyday life. Over a total of 300,000 kilometres (186,000 mi) of hiking trails, you can explore hundreds of nature reserves and the country's 16 national parks.
