One of the most scenic tours in Europe: the Fanes-Senes cycle leads from St. Vigil along the narrow toll road for 13 kilometers gently uphill to the Pederü mountain hut in the nature park. There begins a partly steep and quite rough gravel road that leads to the Faneshütte and on to the Limojoch. Continue on, no less coarse schottrig, downhill towards Cortina d'Ampezzo. Shortly before the Fiames car park, the paved, sometimes steep dirt road runs uphill to the Malga Ra Stua and on to the Senna hut, which is surrounded by magnificent Dolomite rocks. After the descent to the Fodara Vedla Hut to Pederü, there is a special delicacy on the program, namely the forest trail back to St. Vigil.
Very long, scenic outstanding round tour through the fairytale Fanesgebiet. Impressive rock formations, untouched nature and unique animal and plant life characterize this protected landscape area. Attention! Very steep sliding or carrying passage down to the Capanna Alpina. This tour takes you from St. Vigil via the Pederü hut to the Fanesalm. From there it's just uphill to the Limojoch and then, with very little incline, through the big Fanestal - the most beautiful high valley in the Alps! Piz Taibun and Cima Scotoni form a picturesque, unforgettable setting. After a flat trail to the Col de Locia begins a very difficult trail descent to Capanna Alpina; the connection leads easily and slightly downhill on the Gadertal cycle path to Zwischenwasser and on to St. Vigil.

On wonderful forest trails with sensational views of the surrounding mountains up to the Würzjoch and on to the Munt de Fornela hut at the foot of the mighty Peitlerkofel massif.Until the Munt of the Fornella hut is about 5.6 - short but crisp - kilometers. If you also take the ascent to the Peitlerkofel with you, the way triples. The view from the top compensates for the effort. In addition, a circumnavigation of the Peitlerkofel is highly recommended. However, this is only recommended for experienced mountain bikers and should also be made during the week, if possible, because otherwise many hikers can be on the road.
Along the rushing Brunstbach you reach the valley of the same name and in several curves up to the destination of the tour, the cultivated Brunstalm where you can take the deserved rest. The 6.63 km ascent is a great opportunity for all Olanger to come to the training sessions during the week. This tour on the edge of the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park is also very well suited as a small after-work tour.
Starting point of this tour is the center of Mitterolang. From here you can "warm" on the first few kilometers, as the slope increases rather leisurely. After that, a rather low-traffic asphalt road leads through the forest on the eastern slope of the 2275 m high Kronplatz. In the shade, slightly rising, and with a wonderful view of the opposite side of the Dolomite mountain range, you are slowly getting closer to the goal. Once you have reached the 1,763 m, you can look forward to a downhill ride of over 10 km. Let rolls and enjoy.
