Fancy hiking from the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main metropolitan region to the beautiful half-timbered towns on the Dill and Lahn rivers or to historic trails in the Spessart? The Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV) makes it easy with its expansive network of routes. Thanks to the alignment with public transport stops, the Tours are easy to reach; why not try them out for yourself?

To get you started, we’ve put together 11 delightful hiking Tours that take you to the different landscapes of the Spessart, the Odenwald and the Taunus to name a few. You'll hike through historic and picturesque towns with medieval centres, sometimes even perched on an ancient volcanic cone. Castles, palaces and...well, take a look at the Tours for some great surprises. Each one is unique.

The Tours are all planned in such a way that the start and finish can be reached easily by RMV. They’re between 12 and 25 kilometres (7–16 mi) long and also include two multi-day Tours of 37 and 52 kilometres (23–32 mi). So that you can easily decide whether and where you want to shorten the Tour, split it up or join it later, we’ve marked suitable train stations or bus stops along the route. It's best to check the local fares beforehand at rmv.de, as they vary depending on where you get on.

Now nothing stands in the way of your adventure. Lace up your shoes, pack some food and don’t forget your camera; off you go into the countryside with RMV!
