Picturesque river cycle paths, wide views over endless fields of sunflowers and scattered orchards, exciting castles and quaint beer gardens – all this and more awaits you in the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (transport network). The area covers parts of Rhineland-Palatinate and Hesse with the metropolis of Frankfurt at its centre. In all districts, there are scenic features and cultural highlights that you can explore thoroughly on a cycling adventure.

In this Collection, we bring you eight beautiful cycling Tours in the Rhine-Main region. They’re all around 50 kilometres (30 mi) long and take you to different places that are wonderful to discover: the Main Valley, the Hessian Ried, the Dieburger Land, the Wetterau or the Taunus. The Tours run mostly through flat countryside – only in the Taunus will you climb a little.

The Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund offers free bike transport on its trains so you can take your two-wheeled steed along and relax. It’s worth noting that bicycles can only be taken on board if there’s sufficient space on the train and that wheelchair users and passengers with pushchairs have priority. The transport conditions of the individual transport companies also apply.

If the individual Tours are too long for your liking, there are always stations along the way so you can shorten them easily. Most of our Tours are designed as circular routes, so you can easily decide for yourself which station is most convenient for you to begin the route.

So, are the tyres freshly inflated, the picnic stowed in the saddle bag and the right RMV station selected? Then let's set off on your adventure through the wonderful Rhine-Main region. We wish you a great cycling adventure!
