Parys Mountain stands 147m above sea level, and although the island's landscape is more hilly than expected, believe me, it is known as 'Mynydd' to Anglesey residents. It's an uncomfortable climb in both directions - from Rhosybol or Amlwch. In the second half of the eighteenth century, it was the largest copper industry in the world.
