A vast lowland plain bordered by the Baltic Sea with long sandy beaches in the north and the mighty peaks of the Tatra and Carpathian Mountains in the south – this is how you can sum up Poland’s landscapes. But there’s much more because here you will find a true blend of landscapes that are perfect for exploring by mountain bike. On forest paths and gravel roads, you’ll discover one-of-a-kind nature and plenty of culture.
In collaboration with the Polish Tourism Organization regional office in Vienna we’ve put together five varied MTB Tours that explore unique regions of Poland. We show you the Jizera Mountains, a forested high plateau with an extraordinary microclimate. In Upper Silesia, on the other hand, you can truly experience the border. In the low mountain range of Lower Biskeden, you’ll discover the celebrated architecture of the wooden churches in Lemk. If you want to combine a MTB Tour with a dip in the water, we recommend the Tour in the Kashubian Lake District or the ride around Lake Wigry – both perfect places to cool off during a ride.
You’ll have to take on some elevation gain on these Tours, so a reasonable level of fitness is a must. The paths you’ll take are as varied as the landscapes: rooty forest trails, remote gravel tracks and asphalted roads – you’ll certainly not get bored.
