So, take the bike off the roll and open the 2021 outdoor season. Nice round through the southern lake district of the Kt. Freiburg. Almost everything on paths and nature trails, which are mostly easy to drive. The sun comes pleasantly through the leaf-free forests. Wonderful time 👍

A couple of hours of silence. The tour leads in places along snowshoe trails, but mostly apart from them. It is accordingly lonely and quiet when you walk through the snow-covered forests and meadows. If you don't know the area, you'd better stay on the trails. On the north side there is a lot of powder, even with snowshoes you can sink in knee-deep. Don't be confused by the given average speed, probably a transfer error from Garmin to Komod. For the 14km you have to about 3.5 - 4h Sdt. calculate.

Finally snow 😌 cozy and short round with snowshoes across the Franches-Montagnes. The tour starts and ends in Breuleux and leads through a wonderful winter landscape on a pine-lined path. In the clearings you can sip the hunter's tea you have brought with you under the protection of the spruce trees 👍 and afterwards ... nice Nikolaus allen🎄

Great but strenuous mountain tour with a panoramic view. In the last part up to the summit, good footing is required and you should have a head for heights 🥴, sometimes very narrow and steep ridge. At this time of the year it can be quite slippery on the hiking trails, ice and mud make the ascent and descent exciting.

Well, wanted to unearth something of my own instead of following the tips about the Schwarzsee region. This afternoon was correspondingly demanding. The selected ascent to Fuchses Schwyberg can be heard to a large extent with the bike on your back. Sometimes it was simply too steep (sometimes> 20%) and the ground too soft or too gravel for the tunnels to grip. However, it should be possible to drive with an eMTB. Once at the top, it is worth taking a break with a wonderful view of the Alps and far into the Swiss Plateau. The route then leads over (frozen) alpine meadows and flowing trails to Gross Schwyberg. The descent to Lichtena is sometimes quite rough and must be approached with good concentration. But there are also sections that make you cheer. From the bottom of the valley at Zollhaus, I took the path towards Sangernboden and from there along the road towards Gantrischli. Not that exciting route on tar, but the constant incline can be used as good training. From there a shady, but exciting descent towards the Schwarzsee valley. At this time of year this flank is permanently in the shade, the climate is correspondingly fresh and the forest road is frosty and frozen in places. Covered in snow. I think that's it for this year to let off steam in the mountains. I have no idea what values were transferred from Garmin to Komood :-) They are correct, but I was on the road for a good 4 hours at a not quite as fast 54km / h average :-)

It's hard to believe, but another wonderful autumn day that I didn't want to spend in the fog in Zealand. So packed my rucksack and made the pilgrimage to Schwarzsee. At a fresh -1.5 degrees we set off quickly and walked over Reccardets to the Patraflon. The ascent is completely in the shade at this time of year and is accordingly fresh. The sun could only be seen at the ridge just before the Patraflon. Once at the top, there is a wonderful view of the entire Alpine foothills from Bulle to far into the Swiss Plateau. In the distance you could see the condensation from the Gösgen-Däniken nuclear power plant (I assume). To the south a magnificent snow-covered alpine panorama. The first 2 km of the descent were as slippery as on the ice rink. Less because of the snow but because of the soggy muddy ground. For the next time: take sticks with you!

Today at noon the PC down and off on the MTB. The route leads the first 7 km over an unspectacular paved path to below the Mont Sujet, but then it gets exciting and not only makes the biker's heart beat faster because of the altitude. The route leads to the plateau over a natural meadow and from there over flowing trails towards the valley floor of les Prés-d Òrvin. The ascent to just below the Chasseral is long, but with a pleasant slope. Since I set out the last 2 km to the summit quite directly, that was the most strenuous part of the round trip. The route can be laid better. Once at the top I was rewarded today with a phenomenal foresight. To the south, the entire Alpine ridge from Mont Blanc to far into Central Switzerland could be seen. To the north, the view stretched across the entire Jura chain to France. Seldom seen like this ... From then on, it only goes downhill. Between km 26 and 27 there is a short pushing passage, even with good technique it is difficult to stay in the saddle here. From there, a classy descent leads over Jura meadows, forest and hiking trails back to Nods.
Apart from today's foresight, the light was also sensational today and shone against the blue sky.November 18, 2020

The Martin's summer really got into it again with an easy hike to the Mont Sujet. Seldom experienced autumn in these great conditions. The autumn sun bathes the landscape in such a beautiful warm light that one can forget about walking in sheer amazement. The hike itself is easy, the chosen route led over a serpentine path to Mont Sujet. Along the way are various sculptures, which loosen up the rather boring walking back and forth. Otherwise one is on the way a lot on meadows and hiking trails that also lead along the beautiful Jurassic spruce forests.

Once again exploited the splendid weather, invited the MTB and rushed into the Jura for biking full of joy! At a mild 14 degrees, I drove my well-known route (which has already been described here in detail). The only difference in autumn: the nature trails are very boggy and the weight-optimized parts of the bike are just too bad. What felt like 20kg jury mud stuck to the bike and the pedals went right into the thighs ...
