After the heat of the last few days and the early morning rain, it was very humid. So today I only did a short hike, led by Rolf (using an older hiking guide)....but soon, disillusionment set in. It seemed like it wasn't quite right anymore. But you know what you're doing...😉 Laughter was inevitable

Unfortunately, due to my clumsiness, we only managed half of the hike. I tried to put on my jacket at the highest point (Klingelkopf) and noticed that it was no longer hanging over my backpack. We decided to abort the hike and retrace our steps. (I found the jacket 🤗).
Someday we'll repeat the Höllenberg

Another hike from Ramberg (without a real destination, just to meet up and chat), and again, Komoot somehow failed me. After a rest at the Drei Buchen forest inn, we had to change our route due to the closed forest path (for forestry work). So we returned to the forest parking lot and took a path a little

The "Drumrum" trail (approx. 12 km) leads around and through the city (historic old town) with a 300-meter elevation gain (many beautiful views of Neustadt).
Unfortunately, my phone wasn't having a good day today. It didn't record at times, and by the end of the tour, it had completely died. 🙈

Today we wanted to go to Geilweilerhof (Siebeldingen) to see how far along the almond blossoms are... they still need a bit of bloom.
We met at the Frankweiler Cemetery parking lot and simply walked through the vineyards between Frankweiler, Godramstein, and Siebeldingen. Nothing spectacular, really

The first hike this year took us to Hauenstein. The men had planned the tour, but soon the GPS on Edgar's phone had said goodbye (for whatever reason 🤷♀️). Then Dieter took over... or maybe Edgar?
No matter, the tour was beautiful. First the path took us to the Burghalderfelsen, on which a late Carolingian

We started in perfect weather at the Falkenburghalle (where you can also buy wooden balls for the five marble run stations from the vending machine. Or you can bring one from home just in case).
Overall, it was a beautiful tour, but you'll need to be sure-footed.
