Before we returned to the Moselle for our visit, we were able to persuade them to make a quick stop at the Wilgartswiesen Devil's Table and Devil's Kitchen.

Today we had visitors from Longuich (near Trier) who had never been to Trifels Castle before. So we made it a short hike. We started at the Windhof parking lot so we could show them the ruins of Scharfenberg (Münz) and Anebos before tackling the final climb to Trifels Castle.

Rolf wanted to do the 4 Castles Tour (Wegelnburg, Hohenburg, Löwenstein, and Fleckenstein) today, following a hiking guide. It started with a red-yellow bar, then changed to a red bar after the border crossing. However, after the third castle (Löwenstein), we lost sight of it and took a narrow path down

We started in perfect weather at the Falkenburghalle (where you can also buy wooden balls for the five marble run stations from the vending machine. Or you can bring one from home just in case).
Overall, it was a beautiful tour, but you'll need to be sure-footed.

It was actually supposed to be the Water Lily Tour 😉....Edgar picked a tour, but it ended up being a mishmash of water lilies, a Robber Baron Tour, and who knows what else. I didn't see any water lilies along the way.
But there were beautiful valleys, lots of rocks, and occasional gravel paths. The finale

After the heat of the last few days and the early morning rain, it was very humid. So today I only did a short hike, led by Rolf (using an older hiking guide)....but soon, disillusionment set in. It seemed like it wasn't quite right anymore. But you know what you're doing...😉 Laughter was inevitable

It's Thursday and time for the 'Thursday Hiking Group.' Dieter suggested a hike he wanted to do with friends next week. So we met at the hiking parking lot at the entrance to Diedesfeld to test the tour 😉.
From there, we headed up to Hambach Castle. Unfortunately, the view of the Rhine plain was a bit
