A nice quiet trail, well-marked with red paint sprayed onto stones or trees. Fresh, forest air. The trail is named after macaques which supposedly live in that forest. However, it is difficult to seen any, as they tend to spend their days on the roadside and wait for the tourists to give them treats.

A nice, 3-hours hike (round trip) to the summit of Aourirt n'Ouassif (2726 asl). The trail is generally very legible (although not marked with paint). Only in the upper, rocky parts you need to improvise and find your own way. This last part of the trail requires some scrambling but it is generally
