From the Kalser Tauernhaus, the path led about 7 km along the Dabbach, past a beautiful gorge until shortly before Burg. From there it went uphill, past the Felsen Kappele. Then followed an ascent of 720 vertical meters. In between, we had to descend to the Luckner Haus, with a great view of the Grossglockner

From the Rudolfshütte, approx. 250 m uphill to the pass at 2,600 m, then 1,450 m permanently downhill to the Kaprunertal, Kesselfallhütte. This descent drained the strength from our legs.
After that, we went up to the end of the valley, past reservoirs to the Fürthermoaralm.

We started at the Mooserboden dam wall (unfortunately we didn't have time for a dam tour, which must be very interesting) to walk along the opposite side of the lake to its end. A break was taken here before the "beautiful" ascent. The ascent was tough and it went down the same way on the other side

In glorious sunny weather, we went up from the Fürthermoarhaus, past the Mooserboden reservoir over the Kapruner Törle. Then we continued over the Steinerne Stiege to the Rudolfshöhe at Weisssee, where we spent the night.

Shortly after the Gleiwitzerhütte, it went up grassy slopes to a pass. From there, it went down our longest descent of approx. 1430m. At some point, I probably accidentally ended Komoot, hence the second part.

For the first day, it was a nice steady route mostly in shady forest. The bridge construction site will also be finished soon, we could pass it well. We had a nice long lunch break at the Hirzbach Alm.

It was a good idea of Martin to change the tour so that we walked over the Salmhütte along the mountain range at about half height to the Großklocknerhaus.
