No day is like the other, there are always different scenic views. Today we had to overcome the most altitude meters, approx. 940m, and were again very lucky with the weather, as it didn't rain. Last night we had another fantastic Umbrian dinner in the old town of Stroncone at the restaurant "Mamme", highly recommended. 👍👍

The 6th day is our bridging day, as we only have a time window of about two weeks, we have to shorten the tour. i.e. we are not hiking over Rieti, but today we hiked from Piediluco directly to Stroncone. So this morning we walked back to Marmore and arrived in Stroncone via a ridge / mountain village

Today was a beautiful hike through the valley with the highlight being the "Marmore Waterfalls" and the steep climb up the many steps by the waterfall.

The good thing about today was the ascent right at the beginning with a short break in between, and at 12:00 PM we were at the pass for a longer lunch break. From there, it was almost all downhill over mostly beautiful paths. OK, there were no places to stop for refreshments.

This morning in Campello Alto was a beautiful start through many small hamlets and olive groves. Less altitude gain and beautiful forest paths were the biggest difference compared to the previous tours. Shortly before Spoleto, one had to walk many meters directly along the on- and off-ramps of the expressways

The second day from Foligno to Campello was as beautiful as yesterday. Although this morning we took about 3.5 km to get out of the city, today was entirely dedicated to the olive, with plenty of olive groves .......... The weather was perfect for the season, 24C. Now for a nice dinner at our accommodation

It was our first day this year for the second section from Assisi to Rome. The weather with 24 C was ideal for this, we certainly made beautiful ascents and descents but also took our time with three breaks. Great views and beautiful roads and paths.
