Today I finally dug out my running shoes again after ages. What a wonderful feeling to have visibility of more than 50 meters again, and on top of that, the sun is tickling my face! 🥰 I wasn't expecting any spectacular performances after such a long break, but it's better than nothing.



The motto is

Every now and then it has to rain, or thick fog hangs over the city and forest. Like today.



Question: Does that deter you? No, certainly not. Especially since the temperatures were still bearable. And like my husband and me, quite a few others obviously thought the same

Unfortunately, I couldn't leave as early as my husband today. 😚

Reason: Complete head renovation. 😆

After the extensive renovations were finished around 11:30 a.m. and I was feeling completely well again, I headed home to pack the necessary equipment to at least take a few pictures in the sunshine. Unfortunately

It felt like the temperatures were really low today, even though the thermometer read 3°C. I'd planned a slightly longer run, but that plan shrank with every chill through my jacket. 😅 Running at a brisk pace wasn't a problem, but constantly stopping to look for photo opportunities didn't exactly keep

Cormorants, herons (white and grey), ducks, pigeons, blackbirds—oh, just look at the photos, and you'll see what all was out and about today. 😅

After yesterday's little sensation, we were drawn back to the White Elster River today. And what can I say again? It was teeming with everything!



While last year

A small sensation for Plauen! "Our cormorants" have settled down not in the trees as usual, but right on the banks of the White Elster River. Lined up like pearls on a string, they stood and watched their surroundings and the water with curiosity and attention, always ready to snatch a passing fish

Finally, a real winter again! Okay, it could be a bit more snow, but I'm happy with it for now. I'm just glad that a few flakes are still finding their way to the Vogtland region. ❄️ So why stay inside when everything in the forest looks like a fairytale? You simply have to take it all in.
