To kick off 2026, I ran the same route as on January 1st, 2025.



It was stormy again that day, but someone apparently decided yesterday that it should snow on New Year's Eve.

A landscape that surprised me once again.



Along forest and field paths 🌲🍂 along the Zwickauer Mulde river 💦, narrow trails were the dominant feature.



The dormant railway tracks told a story of long-forgotten days. Nature was enveloped in a thick layer of hoarfrost ❄️ until midday.

We were in the same area today ☺️. Our routes even overlapped in a few places.



I started at 7:50 a.m. in cloudy skies ☁️ and 4°C.
