Today start in foggy Hermagor. The destination today was the first Italian hut, the Refugio Nordio Deffar. There we were welcomed by a brass band on the terrace and surprisingly met Vicky again. A wonderful day. 1 liter of white wine 12,- Euros. Therefore, we postponed the alcohol-free day again 😉. Kaiser weather, dream day.

The baker in Stall opens at 5:00 am. Perfect. Then long up the valley until there was a sharp start uphill. Swam in between, not me...😉. Then over the saddle and then the Hugo-Gerbers-Hütte came into view for the first time. Hut supplied by helicopter, supplied by volunteers. No water, no indoor toilet
