What a day in the middle of September 🌞. The plan was to go to the Grafenlehen campsite on Lake Königssee 🚐, stay there for four days, and cycle or hike the area, just like in the "old days." Everything was fully booked, so we had to make do with the expensive and unloved parking lot across the street

Shortly before our actual destination, Lake Königssee, we stopped off at the Kupferschmiede campsite. We've cycled around many lakes together, but not Lake Chiemsee yet. The campsite is at the northeastern end of the lake, and from there we set off counterclockwise. With a fairly strong westerly breeze

What a beautiful tour today to the castle town of Schlitz 🚴♂️🚴♂️😃. We started from the Biolandhof Lorenzen, a Landvergnügen campsite🚐 with a well-stocked farm shop. We drove part of this route four years ago, watch it here:
Too bad, vacation's over, but we'll be back 😊

After a thunderstormy morning, I accompanied Luthi for part of his journey up the first climb to Rettenberg.
Then our paths parted, and I took a leisurely day to the Alpsee and back to Fischen.

After another night of constant rain, we took the direct connection to Scheeßel on day 3. Fortunately, due to the poor weather, not many people had the time to pitch our tent on the relatively small camping area. The sturdy gazebo right next door was really helpful, offering us shelter from the torrential

You'd think it was Whitsun Sunday and the sun was shining from the sky 🌞😃, you'd think so 🙈. Constant rain at night, which is actually quite cozy in a tent, as long as it's waterproof 😵💫. By the time we got underway, it was through midday; God kept turning on the tap 🌧🌧🌧 and turning on the fan

When you read "Plan B," you wonder what Plan A would have looked like 🤔. We actually wanted to cruise through the beautiful Wendland region in 2025 on what will now be our third mini bike tour 🚴♂️🚴♂️🚴♂️🏕, because that's where the annual "Cultural Countryside Outing" takes place in the Lüchow
