Ascent via steep forest paths. You have to like it. Crowds only from the summit cross to the Pürschlinghaus, then lonely over the Sonnenberg ridge to the Kolbensattel. If you don't know the ridge, you should bring some experience and surefootedness with you in winter.

Wonderful winter round!
However, with the variant, especially on the descent, a little experience and a tight T3 in winter should be right. Experienced mountaineers can only use Grödel to support them. If you don't like steep, narrow, sometimes slightly exposed descents, on which you also have to use your hands here and there, you should use the normal route to ascend and descend. The same applies to the first entry piece. Regular mountaineers with winter experience get a great and crisp round with few km, passable altitude and a permanent great view!
