Today we hiked from Schmilka along the Elbe River to Hřensko.
We really wanted to see the old gasworks, which looks like a small medieval castle and is now used as a guesthouse with a restaurant.

To conclude our short break, we hiked from our guesthouse down the Zahnsgrund valley to the Elbe River today. We followed the river to the historic passenger lift in Bad Schandau. This lift whisked us up to Ostrau in no time. From there, we took a loop through the woods, past the Emmabank viewpoint
